Rosehip Cottage is situated in a quiet road in Hunter's Quay, just outside Dunoon, on the Cowal Peninsula, an area of outstanding beauty with a good climate.
Benmore Botanical Gardens: Magnificent mountainside garden, 7 miles north of Dunoon.
Ardkinglas Woodland Garden: Rhododendrons, Azaleas and the 'mightiest conifer in Europe'
Argyll Forest Park: Offers forest walks, mountain paths, spectacular views, car parks and picnic areas, cycle trails, horse riding and fishing, a ten minute drive from Dunoon.
Bute and Wemyss Bay make ideal day trips

|
Dunoon is the home of the annual Cowal Highland Gathering: Including the World Highland Dancing Championships, heavy events and a procession of more than 2,000 marching pipers. It is always held the last weekend in August.
Dunoon Castle: Both Dunoon Castle and Hafton Castle were designed by architect David Hamilton.

From Glasgow take the M8 and then the A8 to Gourock before catching the Western Ferries car ferry to Hunter's Quay, a minute's drive from Rosehip Cottage and Eccles Road.
Those travelling from the North should take the A8 and then the A815.

There is a garden accessible from the french doors at the dining end of the sitting room. Parking for two cars.

The living room is a large attractive room, light and well furnished with two leather sofas, television and original paintings by the owner of the cottage, Peter Wilkinson, a local artist. At one end of the room is a dining area with an attractive table and chairs and doors leading to the garden.
The kitchen is bright, cheerful and very well equipped and has a sea view.
The three bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished.
Rosehip has a large hall with light oak floor, a bathroom with bath, a utility room and the whole property has been maintained to a very high standard.
