With average temperatures between 18 & 28 degrees the climate is not only healthy-rated one of the best by the World Health Organisation- but also made just for you, with Hotels, health and fitness spas, 19 golf courses and every watersport imaginable. With a year round average temperature of around 22ºC, the Costa Blanca is probably one of the perfect places to practice golf on the Mediterranean coast. 	Orihuela is located 22 km from Murcia and 59 Km from Alicante, at the Spanish Mediterranean sea. 20 kilometres from Orihuela, past San Miguel, Bigastro and the Salinas, lies the Orihuela Costa. The coast is 16 kilometres long which its cliffs, clear waters and sandy beaches: Punta Prima, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Campoamor, Playa Flamenca Beach and Mil Palmeras. The Orihuela Costa is a peaceful environment with a perfect balance between the green spaces (Campoamor's Meadow pinadas) and urbanisations. Orihuela Costa beaches obtained the blue flag (environmental norms of the European Community).The beach of Cabo Roig is situated in a zone "semiurbana". To the north lies Campoamor's Meadow and to the South the Zenia beach. Cabo Roig's beach is approx. 420 metres long and 18 m. wide. The beach is a kind of a cove and access is possible by ramp or staircase. If you love long walks, this beach offers lovers of the sun and of the sea a great opportunity to enjoy the Costa Blanca life. Water sports (windsurf, waterski, etc.) is also easy to practice. Facilities at Cabo Roig include parking, public telephone, special accesses for disabled, bus stop, first-aid station as well as numerous restaurants where you can try delicious local dishes. La Zenia is one of Orihuela's most crowded beaches situated between Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig. La Zenia beach is 350 metres long. Its situation, services and conservation have made it worthy of a blue flag. The beach at La Zenia offers special accesses for disabled, public lavatories and showers, first-aid station, public telephone, parking, taxi and bus stop, game zone, etc... The Playa flamenca beach is 150 metres long and very quiet. It is an open beach of sand situated between Punta Prima and La Zenia beach.Playa flamenca beach has a first-aid station, game zone, public telephone, public lavatories and showers, as well as numerous restaurants. Campoamor is an open beach with thin sand and has an esplanade as well as numerous services that allow for games and sports. It has a lovely harbour which provides idal services for any kind of water sports (sailing, surfing,…). The beach is endowed with special accesses for handicapped and of runways. The beach has public lavatories, showers, first-aid station, a restaurant (highly recommended). Nearest Golf Clubs Campo de Golf Villa Martin 1. Villamartin is without doubt one of the finest golf and residential complexes on the whole of the Costa Blanca. The course is not too long, and is well adapted to the natural surroundings and terrain. It is a varied course, although the fact that it is located in the lowest part of a valley means it is not very undulating. There is Mediterranean vegetation in abundance as well as thick woods, although they rarely come into play. The greens are not too small and each hole is completely different. The difficulty of this course lies in having to avoid a natural precipice and several water hazards on some holes. 2. Las Ramblas is really spectacular, elevated tees, narrow fairways and lightning greens. This is a great test of golf and will be a memorable game. Las Ramblas means the old river beds, you will see plenty of these during your round! This 18-holer is on mountainous ground which makes the course very interesting for players who like to take a few risks. As it is very mountainous, it calls for difficult strokes. It is worth mentioning the many trees that surround the course, and the water hazards. There are slopes are all along the course and although some of them are very difficult, they make the game more attractive and interesting.


	Additional travel details

	From the airport car park take the 1st turn Rt to Alicante/Cartagena - the road then forks - take the Rt one to Cartagena and pass through the tunnel - you are then on the N332 coast road. Stay on this road passing Santa Pola, La Marina, Guardamar and Torrevieja (approx 35 Kms). You will come to a roundabout with the TorreHoven Hotel on the left - go straight over that one and the next one with Lidl on the right. Take the next slip road Rt at Max Gym and go up to the roundabout with Mercadona on the left - go straight over into C/Pablo Picasso and round into C/Nicholas De Bussi to the mini roundabout at the Celtic Isle. Go straight over until you come to the Restaurant Chino Dragon - turn left into C/Luis Gordillo and 1st Rt into C/Estaca - continue to the top of the road and fork left before the Restaurant Cafe Bar and left again over the blue bridge. Take the next left to Costa Golf 10B is on the Rt before the swimming pool.
