| Regional Information |
|
Fuerteventura is one of the last unspoilt islands of the Canaries remaining and still retains the old charm with have retained families in the local communities for generations.
The climate is warm through the winter months and hot during the summer which lasts well into October.
Central to your holiday your main places to visit will be El Cotillo which is an old town smaller than Coralejo but well worth a visit.
Puerto del Rosario, the capital of the island is where to head if your agenda is spending money, in many of the wonderful shops recently opened on the island with designer names to be found on every corner. If you are prepared to a drive to the far south of the island, there is no better place to go that the unspoilt beaches of Jandai where the Fuerteventura hosts the Kitesurfing/Windsuring world cups each year.
On your trip you can also visit the second largest town on the island Gran Tarajal which is seldom mentioned but also worth a visit for more of the old spanish charm.

| Information specific to the town/village |
|
Corralejo town is now based around a busy port/marina that caters for the ferries that run between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. There is also a range of tourist orientated activities that operate out of the port as well as a fishing fleet that is based there. There are many activities that operate including, glass bottom boats, trips to Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos, as well as fishing and snorkelling and diving trips.
There are several beaches in and around the town, totalling miles and miles of white golden sands. It is possible to learn how to take part in surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding activities, especially at Flag Beach a short distance south of Corralejo.
For those of you that prefer to keep your feet completely dry whilst having your holiday fun, there are plenty of shopping opportunities. A market is held at the Baku Water Park, on Monday and Friday mornings. There are several commercial centres scattered around the town, with a new one, the Miranda commercial centre opening soon.
There are amusement arcades and a couple of bowling alleys with 8 or 10 lanes. There is the usual array of mini golf courses and a few children's playgrounds, some of which are public areas. There are several companies that run all kinds of organised tours out of Corralejo. These include cycling, hiking, quad bike riding and the usual coach tours around the island. You could also hire a car, or use the local bus service to get around the island.
Corralejo is well placed for those of you with a sporting mind. Surfers like Corralejo because it has access to the north track, where some of the best surfing on the island is to be had, and ferries are available to the Isla de Lobos. The trip takes about 15 minutes, and when the waves are good the ferries do good business with the surfers.

| Information about inside of the property |

Bahia Azul is a luxury development of detached villas within a manned gated community. The fabulous design is perfect for entertaining and enjoying every hour of the day in Fuerteventura’s hot climate. The individual rooms encircle the private pool so nobody in your party can be excluded from the fun.
On the roof terrace, as well as the views to the sea and natural landscape, you can also enjoy cooking outdoors on the barbecue and catch the last of the rays of sun as it sets behind the mountains. Also within the property, you can enjoy the lagoon style pool which is lit during the evenings, and also has complete privacy.
The property is designed as a tropical hide-away with the parts of the building decorated in tropical plants, lava rock, which is kept and maintained externally by BahiaZul gardeners and ground staff.
The property also offers guest Satellite television, DVD player, a games console for children, a fully fitted kitchen including a washing machine for those wishing to stay longer. The en suite bedrooms are located to the left of the pool and entrance is via the poolside and each are individual.
For this reason we recommend this property is not suitable for children under five years. The pool is maintained/cleaned twice per week. Please remember that the pool cleaner will access the property via his own key to carry out the clean.
