Palmela is an old village build on a hill with a mourish castle on the top with a spendid wiew of all the Setúbal peninsula from Troia to Lisbon. The region of Palmela is known for the good wines and moscatel. If you like fish then Setúbal is to visit.

From Airport via Vasco da Gama Bridge and IC32
From Airport follow directions A1/Norte. After approx. 3 km exit A1 against A12 Sul / Pte Vasco Gama.
After crossing the Vasco da Gama Bridge you should follow the direction towards Montijo/Barreiro (IC32), then straight ahead following the direction of Barreiro/Moita. Then you have to exit Moita/Palmel. You get to a roundabout with supermarket 'Modelo'. Follow the sign that says Palmela. After driving straight ahead for around 9 Km you’ll arrive to the roundabout in Palmela village. From here I will give you further instructions.
Toll : Vasdo da Gama Bridge :
Direction North -> South : Free
Vasco da Gama Bridge : Direction South -> North : 2,20 Euro
Toll : IC32 Motorway : Vasco da Gama until exit Moita Free
