The village is located in the province of Ascoli Piceno which is in the region known as Le Marche this is situated on the Adriatic coast which stretches from Pesaro to the north as far as San Benedetto del Tronto to the south with its many blue flag beaches all with their own individuality some with beach bars others much quieter and associated harbours and marinas. The area is inundated with many medieval hilltop towns and villages all with there individual characters. Whilst less than an hour inland you have the mountains of The Appennines plus where ever you go there is the wonderful scenery of the peaceful and relaxing countryside and a wonderful slow pace of life.

Casa Margherita is situated in the peaceful village of Torchiaro. The village history can be traced back to the 13th century and we believe the house to be about 500 years old with its magnificent walls and fantastic panorama over the surrounding coutryside, whilst the village has no shops or bars only a hairdressers! its only 4 kilometers to the nearest shops and even less to the many country style restaurants and bars where you can soak up the atmosphere with the extremely friendly locals.

The property is easily accessed from the A14 autostrada from the Fermo/Porto San Giorgio exit it is 17 km of which the first 14km are on main roads and the last three on a good quality road but more rural and twisty. This journey should take no more than 20 minutes. The area is well served by Ryanair with daily flights from London Stansted to either Ancona which should then take you 60 minutes by car or also with daily flights during the summer months Pescara airport is only 90 minutes away in the opposite direction both airports are close to the Autostrada therefore making the drive less stressful whilst aquainting yourself with your surroundings.

To the rear of the property accessed from the dining area on the main floor there is a balcony equipped with a teak table and chairs and a large parasol should the midday sun prove too much. From this balcony you can admire the magnificent panoramic view over the surrounding countyside with the town of Fermo visble in the distance with its outstanding cathedral standing on top of the hill slightly closer and also on a hill top is the smaller town of Monterubbiano.

The property has recently been totally renovated and we have tried to keep it as near original as possible using modern construction methods but using old original materials wherever possible we have therefore furnished the property simply but adequately to retain much of it's original character. The stair cases are therefore a little steeper than normal with some restricted headroom but should not cause problems to able bodied visitors.
The front door accesses the middle floor with large living room with dining area and kitchen with doors opening to the rear onto the balcony.Upstairs there is the master bedroom with king size bed and a further bedroom with full size single bed and a bathroom with shower cubicle. From the living room there is a staircase that takes you to the basement area with a second bathroom another living room with double sofa bed and up a few steps a small bed sitting room with single bed. There is a door that accesses the Via Sole that runs to the rear of the house from here you can access the utility room.

THe property is only 20 minutes from the costal town of Porto San Giorgio with is blue flag beach and many bars and restaurants with its associated watersports etc, in the opposite direction it is less than 40 minutes to the ski resort of Sarnano.
