Every February a magnificient air hot ballon festival is held in Les Carroz. You may watch
the flambée descente ( night time skiers with flame ). Free mulled wine is offered in the village square not only when Santa Claus comes to offer chocolate to the children! At only 40 Km. far from Les CARROZ, sitting at th base of Mont Blanc, you will admire its summit at 4810 m. above the see level.There are gondolas, telecabines, tramways and trains to take you up as you dare, the highest being the Aiguille du Midi, a pinnacle of approximatively 4000 m. Visiting the stunning “ Mer de Glace “ France’s largest glacier, to reach on the original 1908 Montenvers train, from Chamonix, then by cable. car. Do not forget the ice grotto, the permanent exibition of wildlife, and the cristal gallery hollowed out of the rock face. In the Summer, especially, day trips to Italy trough the Mont Blanc tunnel are also appreciated as well as to Martigny in Switzerland.

Village life
Les Carroz enjoys a sunny location in The Grand Massif region of the french Alps.It is a family friendly, charming, authentic village which, due to its resident population, remains open all round the year. Village life in Les Carroz centers around the village square where one can enjoy interesting shops, pleasant pavement cafes and every Tusday the market. Les Carroz is an ideal winter venue for families. In 15 minutes drive you may reach the Pierre Carré Golf area. Children under the age of 12 can attend a local activity school in the village, leaving parents free to enjoy the skiing or the golf. There are two nursery slopes and two ski schools providing lessons for all ages and all ranges of abilities.
Winter in Les Carroz
Les Carroz, a traditional french alpine village, has an excellent snow record due to its close proximity to Mount Blanc. Les Carroz is one of the five linked resorts which make up the huge Grand Massif ski area.The other linked resort include Samoens, Morillon, Sixt and Flaine. The Alps are snow covered from December to April and basking in sunshine from June to September. Consider that the Climate in the mountains is quite variable day to day but generally it is dry and healthy.
Les Carroz can offer an abundance of excellent skiing for all abilities and all ages as well as wide range of other winter activities including: dog sledding, ice-skating, climbing, snow boarding. There is a lot of high quality skiing with 265 Km of pists on offer.There are ski runs to suit every ability and taste. We can help you hire any equipment you need or book ski lessons.

Kitchen and dining-room with a sofa-bed for two people with bedside lamp, table with 6 chairs, iron, ironing board, chest-drawer, TV, side board with 14 knives, 14 forks, 14 spoons, 12 plate dishes, 12 soup dishes, 12 dessert dishes, pressure cooker, many different kinds of frying pans and panfuls, glass, cups, saucers and so on; very large window with curtains. Bathroom, sleeping room with a large bed for two people and a cot. Sleeping room with two individual beds. Ski site. Wide covered terrace. Parking in the garden surrounding the house. The lounge has both a comfortable dining area and a fitted kitchen area. Its entrance door lead to the covered terrace with a charming sloping roof under which is furnished a table and chairs to enjoy great mountains and forests views. This bright, two-bedroomed apartment, located on the first floor of the house is surrounded by magnificent scenary and has a very large grassed area in the private garden.
Recently we have added a whashing machine, a microwe and ski local in both flats.

Two spacious flats located in a house built in 1872
Our two self catering flats offer comfortable rooms with high ceilings and large windows. The nursery slopes, ski schools, supermarkets, restaurants and bars are all close to our house surrounded by a nice garden by making this an ideal choice for families with children and grandmother wishing to be quiet. During the month of June and July children are free to pick up strawberries, mum to cook beans growing under the windows of your functional flats, daddy to eat kiwi of our production and grandmother will pick up flowers to fit up a table full of biological products.
When you will be wandering on the meadows your children will discover cows and ships in their living shape quite different from the piece under cellophane they have seen when shopping in the supermarket! The central situation of your house gives you the opportunity to reach quickly and free the ski lifts during the winter skiing holiday rental and the swimming pool, tennis courts during the summer holiday rental.
Location
Les Carroz is a wonderful place for walkers and mountain bikers as it has hundreds of Kilometers of marked paths in the valleys and foothills giving endless opportunities for exploring the high mountains. The sport complex with tennis courts and archery, three swimming pools and other facilities are situated 200 m. far from the flat. In addition Lake of Annecy and Lake Leman offer every sort of water based activity in one of Europe most beautiful settings. Yvoire, situated on the shores of Lake Leman is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It has retained its medieval character and parts of its 14th century fortifications. In the summer, day trips to Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel are also appreciated. Every February a magnificent hot air balloon festival is held in Les Carroz. You may watch the flambee descente by nighttime skiers with flames. There is also the mountain biking, road cycling contest in Les Carroz, and the Tour de France in July.

Notes: In the house the central heating supplies the radiators in the two apartments. Each radiator has a thermostatic valve to control the temperature. The electrical current is earthed in every apartment to warrant the security of our customers. We have got the conformity attestation from the CONSUEL ( French national committee for the security in electrical use). At only 200 m. near the house there are swimming pool for adults and a separate one with tobogan for children. For the children it is possibble to ride a pony and have a lot of fun by the circus settling by us during the summer. Considering that our is a low allergen environment with tackling fresh air we welcome long term renters to whom we reserve special tarifs. Smoking is not allowed except on terrace and balcony. Are at your disposal books from our private library including novels, histories of literature in French, Italian, English, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, scientific, human and social sciences issues.

The fascination of old time
In the flats all is taught to receive the families. You find your TV, fridge, freezer, wash dishes machine, electric cooker, table for ironing, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer; The flats are furnished with little full automatic house appliances and kitchen utensils necessary to prepare lunch. The flat communicates with a large covered terrace arranged with a table and four chairs to enjoy the wonderful view on mountains and woods. This flat with independent entrance is placed on the first floor of the house. You may go to the garden by an external stairway, here on the grass are installed a table benches, sun chairs, umbrellas, a barbecue.
Each one of our flats may receive up to seven people. The flats have three rooms, in particular sleeping rooms with beds for two people and others with single beds, two bath rooms, dining rooms with sofa bed. In the lounge corner there is the functional kitchen where you may prepare “tartiflettes”, “fondue”, “raclette”. At the end, cherry on the cake, a terrace will allow you to enjoy your breakfast with an astonishing view on the mountains all around.
