The area features markets, chateaux, wines, picturesque rivers, a wealth of seafood restaurants and the island of Oleron. Sporting opportunites are also abundant with cycling, golf and watersports. Swimming is ideal for young children as the coast is protected by the island; alternatively there are several surfing beaches within a short drive of the property.
The area is rich in history and boasts the best climate in France with as many hours of sunshine as the Mediterranean coast.
