|
Our's is a rural region and we're surrounded by miles of open country. There's a strong culinary tradition (cassoulet is the local speciality) and Revel, our nearby town, hosts the region's best fresh food market every Saturday (when it takes over the whole of the town centre).
There's plenty to see and do. All of the following are within 30 minutes drive - canoeing, mountain walking, windsurfing, pedalos, horse-rising, go-karts, caves, an adventure theme park, mountain biking. The medieval cities of Albi (cathedral, Toulouse Lautrec museum, winding street) and Carcassonne (walled city is a World Heritage Site) are an hour's drive, as is the major city of Toulouse. The beaches of the Mediterranean and the peaks of the Pyrenees are an hour and a half away.

Enjoying wide views towards the hilltop village of Puylaurens, our farmhouse is situated in the countryside, 8km NE of Revel, off the D622 Route de Castres. It is on the borders of the Tarn and Haute Garonne departments. The airports of Carcassonne and Toulousse are an hour's drive away.

The farmhouse is surrouned by lawns and trees, the pool is just 30m away fromt he door and the orchard in front of the house produces apples, pears and plums.
The nearby Chateau is 50m away, separated from the farm by woodland.

We've recently refitted the farmhouse with modern, practical furniture. The ground floor has a lounge and large breakfast/kitchen area. The 3 bedrooms and bathroom are one the first floor.
