|
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is one of the few unspoilt, relatively un-commercial areas left in the Mediterranean. Its natural beauty will leave you breathless, whether it is the range of mountains running parallel to the coast or the wild flowers that grow at their best in spring. Crusader castles perch on three of the Kyrenia mountain peaks and offer views reaching far across the land and sea on a clear day.
The North of the island is more middle eastern than European and the people are friendly and accommodating, albeit slow to deliver due to the un-commerciality of the North – which makes for a very relaxing holiday!

|
Ozankoy is a small turkish village nestling in the hills above Kyrenia. It has a couple of restaurants and small shops. There is a large Lemar store which is like a Co-op store nearby.
The whole of the Kyrenia area hosts many hotels and restaurants and has recently been given European Union funding in order to modernise the city’s infrastructure, etc.
It has a beautiful old harbour with its own castle. At night the whole area comes alive with restaurants, bars and street sellers selling traditional Turkish Cypriot wares.

From Ercan airport head towards Lefkosa (the capital city), then head due north towards Kyrenia. From the main roundabout in Kyrenia turn right and head east. Ozankoy is a small village just below Bellapais Abbey in the beautiful Kyrenia Mountains.

There are six large terrace areas and a beautiful overflow pool measuring 5m x 10m. The gardens are still quite young but have fruit trees(lemon, orange, fig and olive), palms, shrubs and a vine.

This villa is set in a third of an acre plot on it's own. The neighbours are predominately Turkish Cypriot, but there is lots of space between the villa and other houses so it is very private.
