|
Paphos is the capital of the western region. Paphos consists of two areas the coastal area (Kato Paphos) and the town itself, which is slightly inland.
Paphos town is the main shopping area and there is also a weekly market for bargain hunters!
There are a number of sandy bays dotted around the town, many of which offer watersports and scuba diving. The best beach is Coral Bay, which is a 15 minute drive from the apartment.
The climate in Paphos makes the summer months a popular time for tourism in Paphos, when temperatures easily reach into the mid 30 degrees celcius every day; however, the cooler winter months make walking and cycling ideal activities.

|
Kato Paphos (Lower Paphos) is the site of the ancient port, and has an extensive Archaeological Park, famed above all for its elaborate Roman mosaics that decorated the floors of three villas, the House of Dionysos, the House of Aion and the House of Theseus. An open-air theatre - is still used for concerts and performances. Close by, a stern-looking fort built by the Turks, on the site of a Lusignan castle, still watches over the sea.
Kato Paphos is two miles south of Paphos Town. The tourist area of Kato Paphos runs along the shoreline from the large hotels to the east of the resort to the harbour and then up to the Kings Road (where the Tomb of the Kings is located).
Within Kato Paphos are vibrant nightlife, beautiful restaurants and an array of shops.
The majority of holiday accommodation in the harbour area can be found in Universal Gardens, around the area where Marina Complex situated.

It is approx 11km from the airport and only 15 mins max in a car/taxi
1- From the airport car park turn left and follow the road out of the airport and to the junction at the end of the road.
2- At the junction turn left you are on the B6 and heading for Paphos, do not turn of this road, it is approx 8km, Nearing the end of the road you come across two sets of traffic lights, go straight through them both, ahead of you is a roundabout, (we call this Debenham’s roundabout), to the right is Debenham’s and Next, and to the left is an electrical shop.
3- At the roundabout you turn first left and go down the hill to the first set of traffic lights, get in the right hand lane and at the lights turn right. These lights have speed cameras on.
4- Follow this road, you will pass over several small speed humps, the road will via to the left stay on the road, once you have gone to the left in front of you approximately 350 meters to the left are the apartments, the name is situated on the central apartment, it reads Marina gardens, lemon Maria developers, access to apt 1a is situated at the end of the block to the left, via a small access road, drive up the short road and the apartment is ahead of you, there is ample parking at the side or at the rear.

The apartment is on the ground floor, with its own sunny patio area, which is a nice private area and perfect for al fresco dining. There are two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children.
There is a designated parking space.
There is a large outside storage area which is great for suitcases and bikes etc.

The rooms are newly furnished and they have a lovely modern feel. The bedrooms have large cupboards and there is one double bed and two single beds, so four people can sleep comfortably without the need to use pull out sofa beds. The living room has a TV, DVD player and a new Hi Fi. There is also a nice dining area with a glass table and leather seating.
There is a lovely bright kitchen and bathroom and the kitchen is fully equipped with all of the utensils you will need.
New linen and towels are provided. The apartment will be cleaned in readiness for your arrival. A linen change will be provided after one week.
There is an electronic security safe so you can store your valuables safely.
The air conditioning units also blow warm/hot air for chilly winter evenings.
A cool box is provided for picnics.

The apartment is only a 10-15 minute walk to the blue flag muncipal beach, with its water sports and beach side restaurant. The harbour, excellent restaurants and the lively "Bar Street" area are also only a 15 minute walk. There is a supermarket nearby which stocks all the provisions you will need. Next door to the supermarket is a nice cafe/bar which serves reasonably priced meals. There are also local tavernas within a 5 minute walk.
Also close by are the aqua park, go karting and horse riding.
There is a local telephone number and an English contact available to deal with any problems or emergencies.
The apartment really is in a great spot. We have been to Cyprus many times and we have found that this is one of the best locations. We use the apartment ourselves on a regular basis.
The apartment is truly a home from home experience but with the added benefit of the warm sunshine!
